Summary of the Role
Are you passionate about guiding aspiring social entrepreneurs to create meaningful change?
At kanthari, we are looking for a Catalyst with a business background to facilitate learning about social entrepreneurship and empower participants to launch impactful, financially sustainable ventures.
In this role, you will mentor participants through the development of innovative products and services that address real-world problems.

Location: Trivandrum, Kerala, India

About kanthari kanthari is an impact leadership institute offering a 12-month training course for visionaries who have overcome adversity and are driven to create social or environmental change.
At kanthari, participants gain the skills and tools needed to build and lead initiatives that address global challenges.
Since 2009, kanthari has trained 303 change makers from 57 countries. This has resulted in 200+ organisations that are addressing social and/or environmental issues, benefitting thousands of people who are positioned on the margins of society, every day.
Our flat-hierarchy environment and eco-friendly campus on the serene banks of Vellayani Lake provide the perfect setting for innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Learning: Mentor participants through the development of innovative products and services that align with their social/environmental ventures.
• Problem Identification and Solution Creation: Guide participants to identify critical social and environmental issues and develop meaningful solutions.
• Social Entrepreneurship Fundamentals: facilitate participants the essentials of social enterprises, including global trends and the distinction from traditional businesses.
• Business Planning: Support participants in designing sustainable business models that balance profit and impact, crafting value propositions, and managing financials.
• Financing Social Enterprises: Guide participants through funding options, creating investment pitches, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
• Impact Measurement: Introduce tools and frameworks for assessing and reporting social impact.
• Scaling Strategies: Teach participants how to grow their ventures without compromising their mission, using case studies and practical examples.
• Intake/outreach – being actively involved in the selection process of new participants.

Required Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a facilitator or mentor in social enterprises, entrepreneurship, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience in running or incubating businesses (successes and challenges are equally valued).
• Proficiency in breaking down complex business concepts into accessible, practical learning modules.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to mentor a diverse group of participants.

Compensation Breakdown:
– Monthly in hand salary (post-PF deduction): ₹45,000 – ₹50,000
