There are numerous challenges in the world today and it takes dedicated leaders to work on solutions.
But who are they? And where can they be found? Many are found where you least expect them.
At kanthari, we believe in the resilience and in the ideas of especially those who have overcome adversity and are situated on the margins of society.
We equip them with tools and skills that enable them to start their own impact-making organisations.
Problems that they address range from disability to alternative education, from empowerment programs for the marginalized to protection of the environment, from social entrepreneurship to technological solutions.
So, if you always wanted to start your own organisation that focuses on environmental protection, peace-building, disability, or any other specific social problem, then the kanthari program could be the right place for you!
Since 2009, 242 participants from 50 countries were prepared at the kanthari campus in Trivandrum, Kerala, India.
This has resulted in more than 150+ social initiatives and organisations that are creating a positive impact in the lives of thousands of people within their communities and therewith contributing to a more peaceful world, every day.
The kanthari course is a final stop before you start your own organisation / venture / CSO or social enterprise.
If you are selected, a scholarship will be provided through kanthari.

This year we host 16 participants from 11 countries: India, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Indonesia, Cambodia, Nepal, France, Cameroon, the Philippines, and Guatemala.

When the pandemic stated in 2020, we started the kanthari blog. Initially, every day we wrote a blog post about how kanthari graduates were affected by, and dealing with the new situation. Thanks to your contributions, we have been and are able to support those who were/are in existential need.
